About Catherine:
Catherine Shen, Executive Director, Commercial Real World Insights at Merck.
In her role, she is responsible for defining, designing and executing to Merck's strategic vision to drive forward patient and customer analytics efforts off real-world data ecosystem. Specifically her objective is to enable development of digital data products and to inform investments in data and technological assets to support commercial strategies. Prior to Merck, Catherine was Senior Director Commercial Data at GlaxoSmithKline, where she was responsible for modernizing data capabilities for the company’s US market. Prior to GSK, Catherine spent 9 years at Bristol Meyers Squibb in various roles, including Director Strategy & Operations Intercontinental, where she oversaw the launch preparedness of OPDIVO in China in NSCLC and HCC, and Director Data Strategy & Analytics where she led data driven dynamic deployment across tumors.
Catherine received an MBA from University of Southern California. She lives with her husband and their two boys in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. The family enjoys ice hockey and lacrosse.
