Women's Equality in the Workplace Datathon
Despite some progress, women in the workplace have been facing some of the same challenges for years. This is why we challenged participants in our 2022 Datathon to explore women's equality in the workplace and bring ideas forward. We're looking forward to helping drive change together with our partners and community.
Congrats to everyone who participated in our 2022 Datathon. Your work is already providing a path forward for how we create environments and policies to progress womens' equality in the workplace.
Our winners of the Datathon are listed below along with their project videos.
First Place Project Details:
“We gravitated towards Paid Family Leave. In the last 5-10 years we have seen many companies revise paid leave policies for the better. Most companies have room for improvement, but we wanted to analyze the initial progress made in companies in order to encourage others to follow suit. We began by using the Top 50 companies as listed by Fortune 500.”
Second Place Project Details:
“Women are still being affected across the world by the gender wage gap. Even though we are seeing the median gender wage gap decrease slightly by 3.07%, this continues to be affecting women”
Third Place (Tie) Project Details:
Team 1 “We analyzed the different societal factors affecting women’s education and career choices.”
Team 2 “Our project was based on the Un Human Development Report regarding the gender pay gap.”
